Jeremy Tan joins FTI Consulting's risk & investigations practice
FTI Consulting has expanded its Risk & Investigations practice in Singapore with Jeremy Tan, who has been appointed a Managing Director.
Jeremy Tan brings more than a decade of experience advising private companies, law firms and governments on topics including risk management, compliance, fraud detection, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption risk and investigative programs.
During his career, he has supervised and led the execution of numerous investigative and intelligence gathering assignments, including reputational due diligence, asset tracing, political risk analysis, threat assessments and compliance – across a multitude of industry sectors.
Commenting on his move to FTI Consulting, Tan said, “I am delighted to join FTI Consulting and look forward to working with the Asia Pacific team to respond to risk and compliance issues that will help our clients make informed decisions and maximize opportunities.”
Tan previously worked for three international consultancies specialised in risk and investigations work: Control Risks, Berkeley Research Group and J.S. Held (he transferred to J.S. Held as part of its acquisition of BRG’s non-US Global Investigations practice). In his most recent role, Tan led the ASEAN division of J.S. Held.
Earlier in his career, Tan served in the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office, where he was involved in the identification and monitoring of emerging issues of security and strategic importance to Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region. In this role, he conducted research and regularly supported senior government decision-makers in the policy-making process.
“The addition of Jeremy will enhance our ability to help our clients protect their value and their freedom to operate,” said Jon Rowell, Head of Asia & Caribbean at FTI Consulting. “He joins us during an exciting period as we look toward growth in Asia.”
