BrazilManas Tamotia leads A&M's private equity practice in the region
Global management consultancy Alvarez & Marsal has welcomed a new leader – Manas Tamotia – to its Southeast Asia and Australia division.
Manas Tamotia brings over two decades of strategy and mergers and acquisitions experience across ASEAN, America, Australia and New Zealand to the firm, gained both in consulting and industry roles.
Tamotia has 120+ successful transactions under his belt, having advised private equity, venture capital, sovereign wealth funds and family offices, as well as corporate buyers – across all stages of the deal lifecycle, from target identification and (commercial) due diligence through to post-deal value creation efforts.
In addition to supporting transactions, Tamotia has advised more than 50 corporates and private equity-owned portfolio companies on strategy assignments.

Based out of Singapore, Tamotia will lead the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice of Alvarez & Marsal in Southeast Asia. “Alvarez & Marsal’s operational heritage and commitment to driving change dovetails with my professional experience and philosophy.”
The appointment comes hot on the heels of Alvarez & Marsal’s expansion into Malaysia. The consulting firm is also on the verge of opening a new office in Vietnam, as part of “our strategic commitment to expand our footprint across Asia Pacific,” said Garg.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Tamotia spent 13 years at L.E.K. Consulting across two spells, most recently as Head of its Singapore office. He also served as Chief Strategy Officer with a grocery e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, and was part of the corporate strategy and M&A team at Constellation Energy in the United States.
