BrazilBig Four firm PwC appoints 11 new partners in Singapore
Big Four firm PwC has per the start of this month appointed eleven new partners in Singapore.
The crop of new partners have all been promoted internally, part of PwC’s annual mid-year partner intake. “We are excited to have this diverse group of leaders join our partnership in the new financial year,” said Marcus Lam, Executive Chairman at PwC in Singapore.
“I am confident that with their diverse experiences and skills, we are in a better position to co-create lasting, impactful solutions that address the major shifts shaping the world: technological disruption, climate change, fractured geopolitics, social tension, the continuing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and growing the need to build trust,” Lam added.
A brief introduction of the eleven new PwC partners:
Chi Siang Tan
Transformation Assurance
Specialises in helping organisations in managing digital transformation risk; advising companies on their digital transformation agenda and strategy across people, process and platforms in the small and medium business market segment. Chi Siang gained international experience in mitigating digital transformation risk during his secondments with PwC’s offices in Australia and the US.
Clara Yeo
Financial Services Tax
Specialises in tax advisory in the insurance industry, with a focus in composite and life insurers tax matters. Clara gained international tax experience in restructuring projects and tax advisory in the financial services industry during her secondment in Taiwan.
Emily Wu
Corporate Tax, China Business Network
Specialises in tax structuring and tax advisory for companies across a wide range of industries. She also has experienced in assisting private clients to set up their family offices in Singapore and attend to their immigration planning. With extensive experience in both Singapore and China, Emily is part of the PwC Singapore’s China Business Network.
Hongzhuang Koh
General Assurance
Specialises in financial reporting, audit, assurance and attestation with a focus on technology companies and conglomerates. Hongzhuang spent two years in Sydney, Australia during a secondment to PwC in Australia where he gained invaluable telecommunications industry experience.
Joseph Ho
Business Strategy
Specialises in growth strategy and complex large-scale transformations with a focus on the Government and Public Sector, Healthcare and Education industries across the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia region. Joseph started his career with Strategy& and has gained broad strategy consulting experience across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China.
Mark Matthew
General Assurance
Specialises in financial reporting, audit and capital market transactions, with a particular focus on serving clients in the health industries. Mark spent 4 years of his career with PwC in Malaysia where he qualified as a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and focused on providing assurance services to multinational corporations before relocating to Singapore.
Ronald Chung
Data Trust Services
Specialises in data management supporting clients with the design and delivery of data governance, data engineering, data architecture, data platforms and data migration initiatives. Since moving from Australia to Singapore 12 years ago, Ronald has spent several years on secondments in South Korea, Hong Kong and Malaysia gaining valuable knowledge of the new cultures, food, ways of working and new friends.
Rushan Lee
Goods and Services Tax
Specialises in indirect tax, supporting clients across diverse industries to co-create solutions to indirect tax challenges and issues. Rushan gained international experience through her involvement in global and regional VAT projects and her secondment to the Financial Services practice of PwC’s Dutch organisation.
Sidharta Sircar
International Growth Practice
Specialises in international growth and market entry strategy, as well as talent-led expansion across technology and media and consumer and industrial products segments. Sidharta was part of the Strategy practice at PwC in India for around a decade before moving to Singapore.
Yuexin Foo
Financial Services Assurance
Specialises in financial reporting, audit and advisory in the insurance industry, across direct insurance, reinsurance and insurance intermediaries. Yuexin has gained insurance experience in the Singapore and London markets, including spending two years in London on a secondment.
Yuhui Liu
Tax & Transfer Pricing
Specialises in aligning tax to business strategy, tax dispute management and operationalising transfer pricing processes and governance. Yuhui’s technical expertise is complemented by her practical experience as an in-house tax advisor where she gained knowledge of business operations and decision making.
