Teneo adds four senior members to team in Hong Kong
Global advisory firm Teneo has in the past months bolstered its senior team in Hong Kong with four (Senior) Managing Directors.
Andrew Webster is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Talent Advisory practice. He brings more than 25 years of human resources and people experience to the firm.
Prior to Teneo, Webster was with the global travel retailer DFS, where he held the position of CHRO for seven years. Before this time, he spent 16 years with pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca where he latterly led all HR aspects of commercial business including driving and delivering the talent agenda, post-merger integration, and building organisational effectiveness.
Rebecca Truong is a Managing Director in the Value+ practice. This wing, part of the Financial Advisory division, helps private capital investors and companies with mergers & acquisitions, investment strategy, merger integration, and value creation services.
Joining from EY-Parthenon (EY’s strategic consulting business), Truong has also been appointed as Head of Strategy at Teneo. During her thirteen years at EY (six of which with EY-Parthenon), she gained extensive experience advising clients on strategy, market entry, financial and operational optimisation and M&A advisory. She has led some of the largest transactions in APAC for leading banking, insurance and asset management companies.
A specialist in post-deal execution, Truong most recently led EY-Parthenon’s Transaction Strategy Execution team in Hong Kong.
So Kim Lau is a Managing Director with Teneo Value+. Specialising in restructuring and insolvency, she brings over 16 years of professional experience in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong to the global consulting firm.
Prior to joining Teneo, Lau was a Transaction Director at Accuracy, and a Restructuring Director at EY in Hong Kong (she transferred to Hong Kong in 2017 from the UK). During her time at the Big Four firm, Lau went on secondment to Alteri and to Barclays Bank.
At Teneo, Lau advises lenders, directors and a variety of other stakeholders in stressed and distressed situations, with a focus on clients in the retail and consumer products, construction, and oil & gas sectors.
Amanda Cheung is a Managing Director in the firm’s Communications Advisory practice. She joins Teneo from Link REIT, where she was General Manager, Corporate Branding and Events Management, overseeing brand communications and strategy for the group.
A corporate communications veteran, Cheung has over two decades years of experience designing and implementing communications and thought leadership programs for a diverse range of clients. She previously also held senior leadership roles at the Grosvenor Group and Edelman.
