Forensics veteran Chris Fordham joins HKA in Hong Kong

Global specialist consultancy HKA has bolstered its leadership team in Hong Kong with Chris Fordham, a veteran of the consulting industry.

Chris Fordham started his career in professional services at a major accountancy practice in London in 1990, before moving to Hong Kong in 1998 where he became the leader of RSM’s fraud investigation and dispute services team in Hong Kong and China.

Fordham then went on to work for Deloitte, where he was involved in the formation and leadership of its forensic practice, and EY, where he was a partner in the firm’s Forensic & Integrity practice. Over the past two and a half years, Fordham was a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal.

Commenting on his move to HKA’s Forensic Accounting & Commercial Damages practice, Fordham said: “I am very excited to be joining HKA, a world-renowned multi-disciplinary expert services firm, and to realising the synergies that come from working with experts from industries beyond forensic accounting.”

A member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Fordham brings an extensive track record in forensic accounting to HKA. This includes over three decades of experience in providing litigation support and expert witness services in both criminal and commercial proceedings before the courts and arbitration tribunals on multiple occasions.

Fordham has also amassed experience with investigations of fraud, bribery and corruption, fund flow and asset tracing, cyber response, financial crime and regulatory issues including anti-money laundering and sanctions risk consulting.
