BrazilExpert network Guidepoint expands its office in Shanghai
Global expert network Guidepoint has relocated to a larger office in Shanghai – one of its five offices in Asia – to support the firm’s growth ambition in China.
Founded in 2003 in the US, Guidepoint is one of the globe’s largest expert network. Such networks provide experts on an on-demand basis to corporates, institutional investors and consultancies seeking to inform their decision-making, supporting activities such as surveys, research and project-based advisory work. Expert networks are also used by professional services firms that tap such network to augment their advisory and delivery offerings.
Guidepoint has been active in China for years, and the firm is currently expanding its team to more than 160 employees in its Shanghai office – operating alongside a Hong Kong office to serve the Great China region. Facing growing demand for its services, Guidepoint has relocated its Shanghai office to a new premise at Hongkou Plaza, where it has moved into a 1,140 square meters office space, almost double the capacity of the previous location.
“The expanded office space will enable us to enhance our service capabilities and position us as a preferred knowledge sharing partner among China-based business leaders,” said Hakan Sundstrom, Guidepoint’s Managing Director and Head of Asia-Pacific.
David Yeoh, Guidepoint’s Managing Director and Head of China added: “At Guidepoint, we make continued investments to enhance the quality of services we provide. With our expanding team, our clients will benefit from increased custom recruiting capabilities, the flexibility to offer customised solutions, and dedicated support in all projects.”
Globally, the expert network market size is worth more than $1.4 billion – according to an estimate by Inex One. More than 100 expert networks are active worldwide, with Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), Guidepoint, AlphaSights and Third Bridge the largest groups in terms of revenue and network size.
Last week, Guidepoint formally launched a new office in Athens, its third in Europe.
