With more than 48,000 people working from offices in 120+ countries, RSM is one of the globe’s largest professional services firms. Asia Pacific is the firm’s third-largest geographic region, and more importantly, one of its top growth targets. In 2020, despite the Covid-19 crisis, RSM managed to grow its headcount in the region by almost 2,000 professionals.

“While no economy has escaped Covid-19, Asia's response to controlling the impacts of the pandemic could prepare the region for more rapid reactivation, further shifting the centre of economic activity to the area. I am confident that, under Jason’s leadership, RSM will continue to thrive in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Jean Stephens, Global CEO of RSM International.

“Jason brings with him a rich knowledge of both Western and Eastern approaches to business and will play a pivotal role as our client base of internationally active middle market clients in the region continues to grow apace.”

Commenting on his promotion to the top role, Yau said: “It is a privilege to take up this role and I look forward to working with other leaders to ensure seamless connectivity and effective client service solutions across borders, services and sectors. I am particularly passionate about harnessing this opportunity to further enhance RSM’s reputation within Asia-Pacific for developing high-tech hubs in new and evolving economies.”
