International consulting firm Trascent has appointed a new leader for its Asia Pacific operations: Michael Borts.

Established in 2000, Trascent is a management consulting firm specialised in performance improvements in the real estate and facilities management sectors. The firm’s offerings span market intelligence, benchmarking, functional and technology strategies, business transformation and outsourcing implementation services, with a focus on Fortune 500 corporations and large domestic organisations.

New at the helm of its Asia Pacific division, which is run from an office in Singapore, is Michael Borts, a leader with over three decades of experience under his belt. He has been tasked with expanding Trascent’s client base in the region, and developing a new cross-regional technology consulting offering.

“I am excited to join Trascent and for the opportunity to leverage my experience in business transformation to lead the firm's APAC division and develop strategies for leveraging technology in real estate and facilities management for business transformation and workplace experience enhancement. I look forward to supporting growth of the firm and further enhancing our value proposition,” said Borts.

Prior to joining Trascent, Borts was a Vice President at Capgemini in the US, where he focused on finance transformations at Fortune 500 clients. Prior to that, he held senior roles in the consulting industry – at EY and Accenture – and Citibank. Earlier in his career, he worked for AT&T and NCR Corporation.

Throughout his consulting career, Borts has specialised in business transformation, business process optimisation and customer experience enhancement – with a focus on the finance & accounting function and through the use of technology.

“We are pleased to have Michael join Trascent to further strengthen our client solution,” said Rakesh Kishan, Managing Principal at Trascent. “His background in technology-led transformation and user experience is well suited as leaders are facing a broad range of challenges in a pandemic environment to digitize and transform the workplace.”

Borts will additionally join the firm’s global leadership team and work closely with Trascent’s leadership in the Americas (offices in New Jersey and New York) and Europe (Basel, London and Paris).
