Vincent Fok leads FTI's Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment

Global management consultancy FTI Consulting has installed Vincent Fok as the new Head of its Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment in Asia. 

Vincent Fok brings more than two decades of experience in corporate recovery, corporate restructuring and transaction advisory to the role. He succeeds John Batchelor, who led the division for the past five years and recently relocated back to Australia to be closer to his family.

Based in the firm’s Hong Kong and Shanghai offices, Fok leads FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring work delivered from its offices in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. 

The practice helps clients with a range of strategic and financial advisory offerings, including turnaround & restructuring, business transformation, transactions support, valuations, dispute advisory and corporate governance services.

Fok himself specialises in restructuring, having gained experience across the full lifecycle, from the introduction of white knight, capital reorganisation and the formation and implementation of schemes of arrangement. He has led and participated in the restructuring of various distressed Hong Kong-listed companies, including PRC companies, working with shareholders and lenders. 

The newly appointed segment leader has also been engaged by Hong Kong-listed companies to conduct internal investigations, review internal control systems and investigate and advise on transactions with auditors’ qualified opinions, for the purpose of assisting companies to apply to relevant regulatory agencies for resumption. 

Alongside his work for FTI Consulting, Fok is a board member of two Hong Kong-listed companies operating in the retail and medical industries.
