Paul Fisher succeeds Stephen Wyatt as Head of JLL Vietnam

Paul Fisher has been named the new country head of specialist consultancy JLL in Vietnam.

The newly appointed office leader has been with the global real estate consultancy since 2016, serving as a senior director of tenant representation in its Hong Kong office. In the role, he partnered with multinational corporations and advised on some of the most significant transactions in the Hong Kong market.

He now relocates to Ho Chi Minh City to lead the firm’s Vietnamese operation. Fisher will lead the local team across its consulting and research, leasing, tenant representation, property asset management, project and development services, valuations and capital markets business lines.

"It is very exciting to be taking on this role given the significant opportunity we are seeing in Vietnam's real estate market,” he said. “I very much look forward to working with our local management team to drive growth and expand our business, whilst continuing to deliver the highest standards of service for our clients.”

Not too long ago still one of the poorest in the world, Vietnam now is one of the most dynamic economies in the world. The country’s shift from a centrally planned to a market economy has transformed Vietnam into a lower middle-income country, and on the back of its growth demand for real estate and property management services is on a high.

According to a recent analysis by JLL, despite a temporary drop in demand due to the Covid-19-induced downturn, Vietnam’s property market remains fundamentally strong, buoyed by rising property prices and scarcity of supply in several segments of the market. The firm sees Vietnam as the “the next luxury property market hotspot”, with a booming economic outlook and laws that recently have made it easier for foreigners to purchase property.

Fisher succeeds Stephen Wyatt, who has relocated back to the UK. He joined JLL in 2013 from rival real estate advisory group Knight Frank to lead its Vietnam office.
