Ogilvy Consulting appoints North and Southeast Asia managing directors
Ogilvy Consulting has made two key appointments in Asia, with Christopher Brewer and Pierre Robinet appointed as respective Managing Directors for North and Southeast Asia.
Global business advisory Ogilvy Consulting has beefed up its Asian leadership team with the promotion of Christopher Brewer and Pierre Robinet, who respectively take on Managing Director roles for North and Southeast Asia. Together, the pair have spent more than a decade at the firm, and bring close to forty years of combined professional experience to their new leadership roles.
“I could not be more excited for Christopher and Pierre on their expanded leadership roles. Together with Sandy Ng – who leads our China Consulting business – they will join me in the stewardship of Ogilvy Consulting in the region,” said Ogilvy Consulting’s Asia COO Jerry Smith. “The demand for our consulting services is accelerating and continues to be central to Ogilvy’s growth strategy.”
Christopher Brewer
Previously the global head of Strategy and Analytics at Sapient Consulting (now Publicis Sapient, with Jaz Lim also this week named as the firm’s new Head of Experience for Southeast Asia), Brewer crossed to Ogilvy in 2013 as the Head of its Hong Kong consulting practice. More recently, he has served as a Senior Consultant for the network’s Digital Transformation and Consumer Experience practices.
Prior to Sapient Consulting, Brewer briefly served as Vice President, Strategy & Analytics (North America) for The Marketing Store, before which he spent eight years with digital marketing agency MRM McCann, ultimately as Asia Pacific Director for Services & Solutions. Earlier, he was a Manager for CRM – Data & Analytics for MRM McCann in Europe, originally joining the agency in London in 2004.
Pierre Robinet
Robinet meanwhile – Ogilvy Consulting’s new Managing Director for Southeast Asia – first joined the firm in 2016, following a stint as Worldwide Account Director for design and technology consultancy NURUN. Earlier, Robinet spent four years as Global Digital Director for Publicis Worldwide out of Paris, and has held numerous other roles across his career, including as Invention Leader for Mindshare.
Since joining Oglivy Consulting as a Senior Partner in Southeast Asia, Robinet has served as the firm’s APAC Innovation lead and overseen its regional Health & Wellness practice, which included establishing a HealthTech hub in Singapore. In addition, in 2017 he founded Singapore-based non-profit organisation Live With AI, which conducts research into the positive impacts of artificial intelligence in society.
While part of the Ogilvy network, Ogilvy Consulting (which rebranded from Ogilvy Red in 2018), doesn’t itself offer any creative services, but bills itself as a growth and innovation consultancy with a focus on experience design, business design, and digital transformation, with specialty lines in behavioural science among other areas. Recently worldwide Ogilvy CEO John Seifert announced his departure pending a transition.
