Wealth advisory Fry Group makes senior appointments in Singapore
Global financial advisory the Fry Group has boosted its Singapore offering with a pair of former Big Four Peters; appointing ex-EY veteran Peter Webb as its new International Tax manager and recruiting one-time Deloitte principal Peter Triggs as consultant.
A specialist in tax and wealth advisory for UK expats, the Fry Group has a number of outlets around the globe, including a Middle East branch launched in Dubai at the beginning of the year and existing Asian offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. The latter bureau has this week boosted its expertise with the appointment of two Big Four veterans; Peter Triggs and Peter Webb.
Peter Triggs
Kicking off his career with a thirteen and a half year stint with Deloitte in the UK, where he served as a tax principal and audit and trust manager, Peter Triggs brings altogether more than thirty years of professional experience to Fry’s Singapore and Hong Kong offices – where according to the firm he’ll guide a range of business development activities including advocacy and mentoring.
A highly experienced private banker, Triggs upon departing Deloitte in 1991 spent 18 years with Citi Group as a managing director in various locations worldwide, later joining DBS Private Bank in Singapore where he held the roles of Head of International Private Banking and Wealth Structuring and Head of Regional Wealth Planning. Earlier this year he retired to establish Triggs Wealth Advisory.
‘This high-quality appointment underlines our commitment to building a first-class advice-driven advisory business for expats around the world,” the firm said in a statement. “As we continue to grow, the combination of experience, knowledge and expertise Peter offers will ensure that we retain our unique customer-focused approach to advising expats on how to plan for their families’ future.”
Peter Webb
Media outlet finews.asia meanwhile has reported that ex-EY veteran Peter Webb has been appointed to the post of International Tax manager, to be based out of Singapore. Webb initially joined the Fry Group in 2014, following over seventeen years spent in the tax department of Ernst & Young. According to the report, Webb will take up the role from the beginning of next month, advising local and regional clients.
The appointments follow yet another recent Big Four veteran recruited to the firm in a senior role, that of decade-long KPMG UK and Channel Islands tax professional Anna Warren to its Hong Kong office to head up Fry’s Tax practice in Asia. Elsewhere, the firm last year appointed Huw Wedlock as the Director and CEO of its Singapore operation, replacing David Pugh after eight years in the role.
