Global leadership advisory and search firm Russell Reynolds Associates has brought on two new experienced consultants in Singapore; Kheng-Liang Ng and Jack Yang.

A provider of leadership, culture and executive search consulting, global advisory Russell Reynolds Associates has bolstered its technology sector practice with the addition of two new consultants in Singapore; Kheng-Liang Ng and Jack Yang, who together bring close to 50 years of professional experience to the firm. Established in 1984, Russell Reynolds’ Singapore office is one its largest operations in APAC, and serves the firm’s Southeast Asian hub.

Kheng-Liang Ng

Crossing from Singapore state-owned investment firm Temasek, where he was a member of the Organisation & People team responsible for global talent acquisition with a focus on tech capacity building, Ng brings altogether more than a decade and a half of technology and talent experience to his new role. An INSEAD MBA graduate, Ng prior to his nearly four years with Temasek spent close to seven years with rival human resources firm Korn Ferry.

According to the firm, Ng excels at leveraging deep industry knowledge to provide tailored insights and build effective leadership teams with top executive talent, having worked on many senior-level searches across industries – including the technology, financial services and industrial sectors – and for a variety of functions, such as general management, sales and marketing, finance, IT, human resources and supply chain.

“Kheng-Liang has extensive experience working with both regional and multinational organisations,” said Russell Reynolds Associates’ Sydney-based Asia Pacific regional leader Peter L. O’Brien, who has been with the firm for the past twelve and a half years. “Kheng-Liang’s deep industry knowledge is a tremendous asset to provide insights and advice to our clients on talent recruitment, assessment and development.”

Jack Yang

Also joining Russell Reynolds’ technology team in Singapore, Yang has across his career amassed over 30 years of experience in business development and sales in the technology sector, starting out with Motorola in 1989 before rising to a Director of Product Marketing role in Singapore. Since then, Yang has held leadership positions with a number of firms, including Apple and HTC, most recently serving as APAC Chief of Sales for the Bullitt Group.

Yang holds a BBA in business administration and marketing from Loyola University of Chicago. “We are incredibly excited to have Jack join the firm,” O’Brien said of the appointment. “Jack’s leadership experience at some of the world’s most prominent companies positions him to provide our clients strategic advice as they build and develop senior leadership capabilities to drive business transformation and capture growth.”

The new appointments in Singapore form part of wider recent recruitment spree at Russell Reynolds, which has further seen the addition of Tony Qiu, Jane Zing and Chen Chen in China over recent months (in both Shanghai and Beijing), along with Jules Orpin and Ty Wiggins in Australia. Beyond APAC, Graham Ruddle, Ellen Yaffe, and Gautham Parthasarathy have also been added in the US over the past two months.
