Deloitte Digital – the Big Four’s digital marketing services arm – has acquired Dutch digital agency Pervorm, which has offices in the Netherlands and Vietnam.

The digital marketing wing of global professional services firm Deloitte has acquired Amsterdam-based digital marketing agency Pervorm, which has its Asia Pacific headquarters located in Ho Chi Minh City. Founded in 2010 – with its Vietnamese branch following in 2017 – Pervorm specialises in particular in the digital marketing areas of search, social, display, and programmatic advertising.

“The customers and experience of Pervorm provide a wonderful reinforcement of our Digital consulting practice. With the integration of Pervorm, Deloitte is strengthening its position as a full-service digital service provider,” said Deloitte Consulting Netherlands Managing Partner Erik Nanninga, with Deloitte Digital partner Jeroen van den Nieuwenhof adding: “Very excited to have Pervorm as part of the Deloitte Digital team!”

“With the specialised experience of Pervorm we can support our customers even better with developing and realising their digital marketing strategy,” Van den Nieuwenhof continued. “By integrating Pervorm into our consulting practice, we give further substance to Deloitte Digital's growth strategy and the demand from our customers for an integrated approach to online, from strategy to execution.”Deloitte picks up Dutch digital marketing agency with office in Vietnam

Carried out for an undisclosed sum, the deal is already effect, with integration occurring from the 1st of this month and Pervorm reported to have upwards of 50 professionals among its ranks – although the number who have joined the nearly 200 existing members of the Deloitte Digital team in the Netherlands has not been announced. At the least, Pervorm co-founder Jos Hörchner has been made a director at Deloitte.

It is also unclear what will be the fate of the Vietnamese office in respect to future operations and branding (Deloitte Digital’s Southeast Asian practice was launched in 2015 with its leadership team based in Singapore) – although Pervorm was up until at least recently still advertising job vacancies at its District 3 base in Ho Chi Minh City, and has its launch received a number of Google Agency Awards in various categories.

“With Deloitte we integrate our expertise in the field of programmatic, social and SEA with the (marketing) transformation and platform technology experience of Deloitte,” Pervorm managing partner Pieter Meijer said of the deal. “This combined offering enables us to better help our customers with the design and scaling of a performance marketing organisation with associated processes and technology.”

The current, contemporary marketing landscape has a particular Game of Thrones feel about it, with the big players from the tech and strategy consulting and traditional adverting realms all converging on the space to battle for market supremacy. Recently, Accenture Interactive was again named as the world’s largest digital agency network by Advertising Age – with last month’s acquisition of celebrated agency droga5 continuing a fevered buying spree in the field.
