
Senior Director, Financial Crime Compliance| Forensic & Litigation Consulting | Singapore
Against an increasingly complex regulatory landscape the FTI Consulting Financial Crime Compliance team help clients in their efforts to mitigate risk and achieve compliance. We do this by leveraging our deep knowledge of industry regulations and demonstrated methodologies to help clients design, assess, and transform their processes.
We work with our clients to help them effectively navigate a regulatory investigation or inquiry, and by helping them to achieve the overall risk profile they need to power their organization forward.
Detailed SME knowledge of financial crime typologies and how to take these and develop post transaction scenarios within a segmented post transaction model. Practical working knowledge of 'off the shelf' third part vendor packages such as SAS, MANTAS etc is required.
- Practical experience of setting initial thresholds/segments at implementation of a post transaction monitoring system or the introduction of new segments and scenarios is required
- Practical hands on experience either working with a Financial Institution or for a 3 rd party (who is working with a Financial Institution) to optimize thresholds or perform tactical tuning to increase productivity and reduce false positives.
- Practical experiences working with all elements of the Post Transaction alert life cycle including 1) Alert/Case generation, 2) Alert/Case Review and disposition or 3) Escalation and Investigation
- A practical knowledge and understanding of the review methodology applied for 'Alert/Case Review' vs enhanced 'Investigation'
- A practical knowledge of submitting Suspicious Activity Reports to law enforcement agencies in the region with emphasis on major markets such as Singapore (CAD) or Hong Kong (JFIU)
- Knowledge of Cash and /or Currencies Transaction Reporting requirements across the APAC region if preferable.
- The design, review, enhancement, implementation, and monitoring of numerous anti-money laundering and sanctions detection and compliance programs for clients around the world.
- Engagements may include assessing AML risk at the enterprise and business unit level, drafting and enhancing policies and procedures, creating and delivering training modules, compliance assessments, transaction monitoring "look backs" pursuant to regulatory orders, Know Your Customer ("KYC") remediations, internal controls assessments, internal investigations, and independent testing.
- As part of the Financial Crime Compliance Practice, you will partner with the Senior Managing Director and Leadership Team in expanding the business.

Technical:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree or Chartered Accountants
- Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting firm or financial institutions.
- AML specific certifications such as ACAMS / CGSS/ CFE etc. would be preferred
- General and broad subject matter expertise in FCC space (AML, Economic Sanctions and/or Anti-Bribery, Fraud Risk Management) regulations as they apply to financial institutions
- In-depth understanding of regional AML & Sanctions compliance requirements
- Ability to develop annual AML/Economic Sanctions/Anti-Bribery compliance, testing and assessment reviews
- Ability to provide advice regarding Financial Crime regulations and requirements to clients on regulatory, transactional and documentation issues
- Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Flued interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English and local language.
- Independent and be able to work under pressure
- Organized, detail-oriented and analytical
- High level of integrity and take ownership and accountability of results
- Flexible with potential for travel to meet the requirements of client service projects
