Position Summary

Our forensic accounting and advisory services practice undertakes a wide range of engagements, including complex fraud investigations; FCPA and whilet collar crime investigations; compliance framework advisory, especially in the anti-corruption and export control areas; commercial disputes, litigation support and expert witness engagements.

FTI Consulting is looking for CPA's with 8 years of public accounting experience. Senior Directors in the forensic accounting sector are responsible for planning, supervising, performing and delivering engagements with responsibility for day to day activities of the engagement team. from start to finish with minimal or no supervision. For Senior Directors, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients is critical. They must demonstrate an ability to fully lead and manage client matters with minimal input or edits from senior team members and effectively manage and meet the client's expectations at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilise advanced accounting and business process knowledge and logical reasoning skills to provide complete client services.
  • Work to ensure a quality product, as well as deliver all work within established timeframes.
  • Prepare draft expert reports, presentations and other deliverables for third parties, setting out findings and/or results of the agreed scope of work.
  • Interact directly with clients, lawyers, regulatory authorities and senior accounting personnel.
  • Maintain professional image within the firm and project the same to those outside the firm.
  • Work collaboratively with other FTI Consulting's segments to deliver collaborative solutions to clients.
  • Track progress of cases and monitor workflow of different matters.
  • Coordinate and review the work of others and ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Supervise, coach and train junior members of staff.
  • Contribute to management of the Forensic Accounting practice through active involvement in practice development activities.
  • Assist with developing and managing a project's scope, timeline, tasks, resources and time/cost estimate.
  • Undertake business development activities and develop professional work.


Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
  • Internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • 10 years of solid professional experience in forensics accounting or other work of similar natures with exposure to fraud inquiries. Direct working experience in at least one of the following matters: anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and sanctions & export control
  • Certified Fraud Examiner, Certicified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications advantageous.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting principles, with sound understanding of business and legal processes relevant to risk, investigation and dispute engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to read and speak in Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin) is a must.
  • Strong technical and business writing skills. Able to prepare draft expert reports to articulate key findings that are fully supported by robust analyses and evidence.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skills. Ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.
  • Experience in managing teams and all aspect of engagements. Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to travel as needed.
