Position Summary

FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications segment is seeking to hire an experienced communications practitioner to join a dynamic and growing team. The position is located in Singapore and the successful candidate will help steer the office's Corporate Communications, Financial Communications and Public Affairs practice areas.

The candidate should have a proven ability to both service client companies on a day-to-day basis and contribute to developing new business.

The candidate should also have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to help manage junior team members and work with colleagues from a global network as a collegiate team player.

The candidate should be mature, results-oriented, and prepared to learn and utilise new approaches to communications as part of a global communications consultancy business.

What You'll Do:
  • Provides expert counsel to achieve critical business goals and maintain a high level of integrity in all situations.
  • Ensures all work undertaken by FTI professionals is in line with FTI's values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice and lives these commitments daily.   • Works with international colleagues to position FTI as a model of ethical behavior and integrity internally and in the marketplace.


Deliver to Clients
  • Own and manage client relationships and creatively prepare and deliver the client programme
  • Provide strategic advice to a portfolio of clients, manage accounts on a day-to-day basis and develop excellent relationships with clients
  • Developing planning documents across clients
  • Focus on client retention through exemplary service delivery
  • Deliver research and thought management proposal
  • Ensure client programmes are established and project plans are in place
  • Work alongside colleagues to ensure timescales and quality assurance are adhered to
  • Assist senior team members in creatively preparing and delivering the client programme


Build the Business
  • Seek new business opportunities and working closely with senior team in developing new business proposals
  • Proactively network with media and industry contacts, as well as potential clients


Team Management & Development
  • Partner with senior management in ensuring team processes are in place and regularly contribute ideas on ways to evolve these
  • Mentoring and training junior team members
  • Share industry and media insights across the team, based on journalist and industry contacts as well as thorough reading of the news


Basic Qualification:

  • University degree.
  • Track record of driving client programmes for large local and international clients.
  • New business development skills (strategy and proposal development, etc.).
  • Proven ability to win new business with local and international clients.
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships to drive new business development.
  • Media relations and crisis and issues management experience.
  • Experience coaching and developing more junior team members.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
  • International communications agency experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own time.
  • A collegiate approach to working in a diverse team across the Asia region and globally.
