The Corporate Finance and Restructuring segment of FTI Consulting provides complete support in turnaround and restructuring, transaction advisory services and corporate recovery. The practice has a reputation for taking on challenging and complex assignments that require exceptional strategic and technical capabilities.
Position Summary
As a Senior Consultant, you will supervise, execute and complete client engagements, with responsibility for day-to-day activities. You will undertake financial analysis, prepare reports and assist in supervising the work of junior staff. You will work directly with senior members of the team, and receive internal training, on-the-job coaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Wide ranging insolvency experience and ability to apply skills to a variety of insolvency, restructuring and advisory matters. No supervision required on routine matters, minor supervision on procedural aspects of complex matters and ongoing supervision for complex tasks on complex matters.
- Excellent financial accounting skills including analysis of financial statements and management accounts and financial modelling.
- Ability to liaise with lawyers, accountants, bankers and other professional stakeholders to develop trusted relationships.
- Ability to write statutory reports and stakeholder reports with minimal supervision.
- Ability to draft complex correspondence on a variety of insolvency topics, to stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of the insolvency skills and knowledge of junior staff.
- Oversee the day to day running of trade-ons and sale of distressed assets.
- Effective personal time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to organise and present staff training and development.
- Actively pursue some marketing and business development opportunities for the firm.
- Assist with the research for industry newsletters and thought leadership topics.
- Assist senior members of the team with research and preparation of pitches and proposal.
