In Asia, the Corporate Finance and Restructuring segment is a dominant industry leader in areas such as restructurings (both formal and informal), Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) appointments, corporate liquidations and receiverships. The Corporate Finance and Restructuring segment of FTI Consulting provides complete support in turnaround and restructuring, transaction advisory services and corporate recovery. The practice has a reputation for taking on challenging and complex assignments that require exceptional strategic and technical capabilities.

FTI Capital Advisors ("FTICA"), is a dedicated global investment banking subsidiary of FTI Consulting, focused on capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, structured solutions and strategic advisory services. FTICA has 12 globally offices with close to 100 professional and was established to advise our clients through complex transactional challenges by combining years of capital markets expertise, leveraging FTI's deep industry practices and employing a "hands-on" approach. FTICA Hong Kong is committed to provide a one-stop shop service to our global clients across key industries segments (e.g. Real Estate, TMT/Fintech, ESG, Healthcare and Infrastructure, etc.).

Position Summary

This position will have shared responsibilities between the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment and FTICA. You will be responsible for planning, supervising, performing and finalising engagements with responsibility for day to day activities of the team and subordinates. You are also expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or contribute to financial due diligence, financial modelling and other transaction advisory engagements in China and Hong Kong SAR
  • Prepare draft reports, presentations and other deliverables, setting out findings and/or results of the agreed scope of work.
  • Utilise advanced accounting knowledge and logical reasoning skills to provide complete client services.
  • Conduct reviews and appraisals for junior staff.
  • Interact directly with clients including lawyers and senior client personnel.
  • Track progress of cases and monitor workflow of different matters.
  • Undertake business development activities and develop professional network.
  • Work on proposals including budgets, industry analysis and FTI capabilities.
  • Actively promote cross practice services.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or any relevant disciplines.
  • Hong Kong or internationally recognised professional accounting or finance qualification.
  • Strong financial modeling skills or experience in large scale restructuring projects
  • At least 8 years of solid professional experience in transaction advisory, restructuring or business recovery
  • Knowledge of the DCM market or experience in advising clients on bond/debt restructuring would be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to draft and write expert reports (written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity and high level of professionalism.
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness in developing own professional network through attendance and participation in professional organisations.
