Position Summary

FTI Consulting is looking for a Billing Accountant with experience within the commercial or accounting sector. This role will be working within the internal finance team to support all areas of FTI Consulting across Asia Pacific. Working within a team of 4, you will be responsible for all aspects of daily billing.

This position reports to the Finance Manager and will be working closely as a team member of the processing and transaction support team. This position will liaise/interact closely with Segments and other APAC offices and communicate well with external bankers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate billing records: process billing requests, preparation of draft bills, posting of complex interim and final bills
  • Responding to clients' and practitioners' enquiries and requests on billing matters
  • Regular check in with segments to process WIP ledger review and billing (such as matter opening, time and cost transfer, write-offs and matter closing)
  • Acting as main point of contact of all Matter Management processes/queries for allocated practice groups, and researching and answering billing questions
  • Supporting ad hoc requests and needs especially relating to matter management aspect of finance
  • Being involved in ad-hoc assignments and provide supports to the department
  • Assisting and adapting to initiatives from firm-wide change programme
Key Requirements

  • At least 3 years working experience
  • Working experience in a law firm would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with a polite and professional approach
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (both written and oral)
  • Strong sense of integrity and discretion
  • Proactive manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Robustness and composure under pressure
  • Meticulous with good attention to detail
  • A self-starter, hard-working and organised
