Our Forensic Litigation and Consulting team in Singapore are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.
In specific, the Risk Advisory and Investigations team conducts research and investigations to uncover actionable intelligence and performs value-added analysis to help decision-makers address and mitigate risk, protect assets, and make informed investment decisions to maximize opportunities.
Our experts conduct independent investigations to help clients resolve a variety of issues, including:
- Due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border transactions
- Anti-bribery and foreign corruption (FCPA / UK Bribery Act) investigations and risk assessments
- Forensic accounting and fraud investigations
- Business intelligence
- Assets searches
- Vendor screening & assessment programmes
- Whistleblower allegations
- Fraud risk assessments
- Litigation and compliance support
Position Summary
As an Associate, you will contribute to client matters by completing assigned tasks accurately and on time with regular supervision. You will typically undertake tasks such as researches, analysing accounting and financial data, performing calculations, and documenting your work.
You are expected to communicate effectively with other team members, and to take an interest in how your work fits into the overall project plan.
You will work with senior members of the team, and receive internal training, on-the-job coaching and mentoring. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of the legal process, especially with regard to litigation, fraud and compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time with regular supervision
- Reconstruct accounting records from incomplete information.
- Analyse and interpret large volumes of accounting records.
- Assess the reliability of accounting evidence.
- Participate in investigative interviews and client meetings.
- Review financial statements for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Undertake company research and industry analysis.
- Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis and financial and discounted cash flow modelling.
- Research and analysis of information from public-domain sources and field inquiries to support investigations and/or due diligence assignments.
- Evaluation of information and information sources for accuracy, reliability and relevance in assessing risk.
- Provision of advice on how to mitigate risk.
- Assist with the preparation of draft expert reports and client reports and presentations.
- Interact with clients, including lawyers, in house counsel and senior accounting personnel.
- Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance/Forensic Accounting.
- Strong passion in financial investigations, litigation support and expert witness services.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and ASEAN languages will be added advantage.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- A keen interest in research, business intelligence and due diligence work with strong analytical skills.
- Eagerness to learn and the motivation to succeed.
- Adaptability in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with senior team members and the client in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
- Strong work ethic, integrity and high level of professionalism.
- Ability to travel when requested.
- Ability to commence work in 2023 Q2/Q3.
