The L&D Business Lead will develop and execute our business strategy to capture fast growing market demands. The role will actively engage with our clients and external networks to build DSS brand awareness in the L&D market. The role will evaluate how we can strengthen our go to market strategy and identify and select partners to expand sale channels for our L&D business. Additionally the L&D Business lead will leverage global resources and build local capability to support our client’s needs. The role will also be responsible for the design of our L&D products and offerings with concrete value proposition within the market.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing and enhancing relationship with clients, with the objective of positioning the company as a trusted L&D partner
- Leading the development of new business leads and opportunities to grow the L&D business.
- Managing complex L&D engagements to ensure tailored solution meet or exceed the client’s requirements and expectations and deliver superior value to clients.
- Understanding client challenges and structuring the scope and objectives of the learning program/agenda.
- Engaging and managing key stakeholders to ensure client’s expectations are fully met.
- Overseeing the quality of the L&D project delivery by being client person in the organization.
- Playing an active role in building the firm by:
- Participating and contributing to L&D networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices.
- Mentoring/coaching junior colleagues to support their development within the organization
Job requirements
Requirements
- 8-10 years of rich experience in L&D/Training business with deep knowledge of local market and key players.
- Experience in L&D business development and ability to manage complex engagements from end to end.
- Ability to manage diverse and remote team and guide them to achieve business and client objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or other related fields; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- Proven experience in leading business development in complex business / operations transformation programs characterized by a high change management component.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to extensively interact with clients at all levels.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Japanese and English. Additional languages will be a plus. ·
- Ability to travel extensively.
