Benefits analyst summer internship

During your internship, you will get to work within the Employees’ Health & Benefits business unit and be primarily responsible for data extraction and analysis. The intern will also be expected to support ad-hoc projects as requested by account managers or senior benefit analyst. You will also be given the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders and internal users.

At the end of the internship, you are expected to deliver:

• Various reports through manual data extraction and apply pivot tables and charts
• Overall learning from the ad-hoc projects and presentation to the key stakeholders
• Basic understanding of business process and translating of graphical process flows, for identification of potential business gaps, including developing solutions (ie process engineering)
• Data processing and massaging skills which are useful in decision making, or in areas such as claims analysis, data reconciliation, investigation of discrepancies’ etc

Qualifications

• Major in Actuarial Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business
• Life & Medical insurance knowledge is highly beneficial
• Excellent verbal, communication skills & a strong team player
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to details and meticulous
• Experience in business intelligence, analytics & reporting tools are highly desirable
• Broad knowledge of Excel and competency in pivot table is essential
