About the Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

What You'll Do

We are seeking to hire Consultant to join an aspiring, dynamic growth-minded team in Singapore.

You will have the opportunity to learn and implement a full range of strategic communications services including performing industry research and examination, executing corporate communications, financial communications and public affairs programmes supported by activities such as media relations, crisis and issues management and stakeholder mapping and engagement. Our Consultants play a key role in advising FTI's international and domestic clients across a number of different industries.

You should have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and be a collegiate team player. You should also be mature, results-oriented, able to multi-task and prepared to learn and utilise new and emerging approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.

While you will be expected to contribute to new business development, the successful candidate will be able to join a number of exciting and challenging client accounts, serving a range of household corporate names from day one.

  • Assist with client counsel on all aspects of their communications programmes
  • Provide input into and draft various communications materials for client programmes across our different offerings of corporate communications, public affairs and financial communications areas (e.g. communications strategies, press releases, client memos, stakeholder and issues mapping, and briefing documents).
  • Deliver high-quality work within project teams.
  • Under guidance and supervision, responsible for various tasks related to corporate communications and media relations engagements ranging from executive profiling and brand positioning to issues and crisis management and top-tier media engagement.
  • Assist senior team members in developing new business initiatives (e.g. conducting research on prospects, developing strategic approaches and ideas, reviewing PowerPoint presentations and proposals, etc.).
  • Actively contribute to both internal and client meetings by offering strategic and creative insights.
  • Maintain a self-focused passion to stay abreast of client issues and related industry trends, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and asks the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly.
  • Understands FTI's values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice and demonstrates a strong commitment to applying these concepts in daily interactions with colleagues and clients. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher. Majors in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration or a similar field will be a plus but is not necessary.
  • Preferably possess 1-3 years of relevant communications experience in a communications consultancy.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Social and eager to learn, and have an ability to work well within a team.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with senior team members and the client in demanding, deadline-focused situations.
  • A collegiate and collaborative team player that also has the ability to work independently, take initiative and set priorities.
  • A collegiate approach to working in a diverse team across the Asia region and also globally to handle requests from international clients.
  • An aptitude and desire for learning and ongoing development.
  • Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).
