Work you’ll do
Managers typically have day-to-day responsibility for delivering engagements or major modules of large projects. This includes leading the approach, liaising with clients and other parties and directing the thinking of individuals within the team. For instance, on a digital strategy project for a leading universal bank, one module may be focused on conducting expert interviews and secondary research to understand key digital trends impacting the market, another on gaining a better understanding of unmet consumer needs and developing a new actionable digital business model, and a third on developing financial forecasts and partnership constructs to create a viable business case. The number of modules varies from case to case, and depends on the size of the team and the scope of the project. An important part of the role will include involvement in business development and writing industry whitepapers with associated marketing activities to initiate, maintain and grow the relationship with new and existing clients.
A Manager frequently manages two or more consultants or senior consultants and engages with several internal and external stakeholders in parallel.
